Here's what's covered, what's on you, and what to expect throughout the year.
Lawn Care
Swift handles lawn care year round — mowing, trimming, and general upkeep. You don't need to do anything. If the yard looks like it needs attention, submit a maintenance request and we'll get it scheduled.
Snow & Ice
Lawn care is on us but snow and ice removal is on you. If there's accumulation on walkways, steps, or the porch, tenants are responsible for clearing it in a timely manner. Keep salt or ice melt on hand during winter months — it's cheap and worth having.
Trash Pickup
A few simple expectations to keep things running smoothly for the whole house:
- Put the cans out on your scheduled pickup day. Make sure they're in their designated spot so the truck can access them.
- Pull them back within 24 hours of pickup. Cans left on the street or curb for days are a nuisance for the neighborhood and can result in fines.
- Alley pickup exception — if your trash is picked up from an alley, cans can stay put and don't need to be pulled back after pickup.
- Overflow bags — Waste Management will pick up overflow bags placed next to the cans. Make sure bags are tied tightly and secured well before putting them out.
